Description

Meet David, the greatest masterpiece by Michelangelo and then discover the beauty of Florence by bike.

Among the other Florence bike tours, this one will include the Michelangelo's David tickets: enter the Accademia Gallery museum with a fast-track ticket and discover the original Michelangelo's masterpiece that has become the symbol of Renaissance splendour, through the knowledge of a professional guide.

Admire it from every perspective, gaze in awe at David, that dominates the central gallery of the museum.
The David was sculpted by a very young Michelangelo (in his twenties) entirely from a single block of local Carrara marble and it's 5.17 metres tall (17 ft). It represents the biblical hero David that killed Goliath and when it was unveiled, in 1504, it soon came to symbolize the defense of the civil liberties embodied in the Florentine Republic.

Admire also Michelangelo's famously unfinished sculptures - Prigioni and San Matteo.
The Accademia Gallery houses also many other masterpieces, both paintings and sculptures, from the Middle Ages to Renaissance, by the greatest artists, like Botticelli, Paolo Uccello, Andrea del Sarto and many more, which you will discover with your knowledgeable English-speaking guide.

After this museum tour, take a little 30 minutes break, and continue the adventure!

Florence is perfect for biking and this bike tour takes you where the bus tours can’t go, in pedestrian areas and little tiny streets. It will take you less time then any walking tours, showing you roads out of the usual tourist paths, too far to be reached by foot, too tiny for a bus!

In 3 hours you will visit all the major tourist attractions, under the experienced guidance of our entertaining and fun, professional HISTORY-GUIDE.
During our bike tours in Florence, you will ride through the narrow streets of the main center and the Oltrarno reaching the most amazing monuments of Florence and unknown spots from where to admire the city: Santa Maria Novella, the artisans district, Palazzo Pitti, San Frediano, Ponte Vecchio (the old bridge), the Uffizi square,  Santa Croce, Piazza della Signoria, the medieval district, the Duomo, and Piazza della Repubblica...
Along this pleasant stroll in Florence, we will stop at several locations for history explanations and fun facts about the city.

Relax, enjoy the tour and even taste a wonderful Gelato in the Oltrarno district! (included) Our guides will help you discover the most of the "cradle of the Renaissance" in the less time and in the funniest way.. simply perfect as an introduction as well as for veterans.

ACCADEMIA GALLERY: Please let us know in advance any special need or impaired mobility of the clients and we will do our best to accomodate them.
Even with the skip-the-line entrance, there is still a compulsory security check which may cause some delays in entering the museum.
Big bags, liquid bottles and large umbrellas will not be allowed inside the museums (ok small foldable umbrellas).

Rain Policy

The tour will never be cancelled due to rain.

Concerning specifically the bike tour, we will do our best to proceed with the bike tour, however, in case of heavy rain, we might decide to stop the bike tour and proceed with a walking tour instead (or just start with a walking tour if the weather does not allow to use the bikes at the time of the meeting point). Should the weather get better during the tour, we will try to get back on board, when possible.

Guest options on rainy days:

1) Proceed with the tour hoping for clearing weather - with the understanding that no refund or discount will be given if bikes are not ridden due to rain, or if the bike tour is abbreviated due to rain. We will do our best to get you on a bike, weather permitting.

2) Rain check (of the same amount clients paid) to be used the following day or at any other time, subject to availability. The Rain check is a voucher given to client. The voucher is transferable and may be sold or given to others to use at a future date and lasts up to 1 year from date. It has a value that can be possible used in any other tour provided by our company.

Please note that clients' safety and comfort are of utmost priority, and proper rain gear is mandatory for guests choosing to "ride in the possible rain".
We ask clients to be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the tour departure, to check the weather conditions and choose accordingly.
No-shows will not be refunded.
