Together with a professional local chef, you’ll step into daily Italian life by visiting the market the way generations have always done it — exchanging words with the butcher, seeking the fruttivendolo’s advice, and learning about the best seasonal products. During the visit, you’ll enjoy tastings of regional delicacies that define Florence’s food culture, including cheeses, local specialties, olive oils, and truffle-based flavors. 

Back in the cooking school, the atmosphere turns into that of a family home, as you cook side by side preparing fresh handmade pasta, pairing it with sauces inspired by the season, and completing the meal with a timeless Italian dessert, tiramisu. This is Italian cooking at its most authentic: the cuisine of affection, where Nonna passes down recipes, stories are shared, and culture comes alive around the family table.

Once the dishes are ready, you’ll sit down together to enjoy them with local Chianti wine, unlimited, just like in an Italian family gathering. When the Central Market is closed on Sundays or public holidays, the class is enriched with a special introduction and additional tastings at the cooking school.
