A unique and unforgettable lifetime experience: spend a day biking through the rolling Tuscan countryside! Let us lead you into Tuscany's most authentic soul, to feel the gentle fresh breezes and breathe in sweet floral scents biking along silent cypress-lined country roads.
Depart downtown Florence aboard our minivan in the morning, for a pleasant 25 minute drive to the nearby Chianti hillside, where you will board your bikes. All off! Follow your guide along a route studded with golden-hued farmhouses and vineyards. Stop for photos, perhaps at the edge of a charming meadow or a silvery olive grove. Lose yourself in enchanted landscapes pedaling leisurely, discover glimpses of eternity, ancient castles and quaint parish churches. Take a welcome break half-way through your journey to relax and indulge your taste buds with a scrumptious snack in an exquisite spot. Relax in the cool shade of centuries-old oak trees and cypresses and enjoy a staple of traditional Tuscan country fare: freshly baked local bread with premium olive oil. Uncover the secrets of the amazing realm of world-class wine production stopping at two different internationally renowned and acclaimed wineries along the way. Welcomed by the estate staff you will be able to explore the cellars lined with precious blends, learning about wine production in general and about the two wineries' different approaches and techniques. Tuscany is a pleasure-filled heaven that feeds all your senses: enjoy getting to know all about bottling, aging and storing wine and "Tuscan gold": fragrant olive oil. At the end of the tour savor a typical Tuscan wine-pairing lunch: specialty local dishes served paired with the extraordinary wines of the two award-winning estates you visited.
Note: your itinerary includes flat, downhill and uphill sections, to offer an all-round experience and diverse viewpoints. Our van will always be nearby, following the group, thus you may plan the biking part of this experience as you wish. If you feel up to hearty exercise you can have an intermediate level bike ride, with some interesting uphill sections. If you prefer a more leisurely excursion you can still enjoy most of the biking itinerary (just the flat and downhill sections), and take advantage of the van for the (few) uphill portions.
Mileage: 10 miles round-trip (about 15 kms) Terrain: Mostly paved back roads with little traffic, some dirt roads. Difficulty: INTERMEDIATE (can be done in EASY MODE, mostly downhill, using the minivan support to help in the few short uphill sections) Children under 14 years old are not allowed on this tour.

We did our first bike tour ever and we were very lucky to have tour guide Alessio be our leader. We had a small group of 4 and while we were all experienced in bike riding we were not prepared for the inclines but Alessio was very patient and extremely knowledgeable on each of our stops. Highly recommend this tour!!
Giulia was the best tourguide
Great experience! Definitely would recommend, the wine was great and the sights were breathtaking! Giulia was our guide and she very friendly, easy to get along with, and very informative about the Chianti region! Made the experience even better!
Tuscany Bike Tour From Florence
Great day - only the 2 of us and our guide Marco. What a wealth of info he was. I think it would have been loads of fun with other people....a very different experience to ours. The guide is the one that takes you into the wine cellars not the vineyard staff however for a couple of Aussies we enjoyed the countryside as opposed to the Florence crowd frenzy.
Paola drove our delightful, chatty crew from Florence up to our departure point for the bike ride. She graciously answered our questions and engaged in dialogue with us. Once we arrived in Tuscany, we met Marco our cycling guide. He was inspirational, patient and beyond...

Our guide was great. It just ended up being my wife and I, which was perfect. It's a fairly tough biking experience with quite a few hills. However, my wife and I are 48 and in decent shape and we both made it through just fine. It was 93 degrees, so that made it tougher. Great tour.

Very nice experience
That was a very nice experience. The staff is very good and they give you all support needed. If someone doesn't feel good there is a supporting car.
The tour is nice. For me, could be much more longer. But our group had people not used to ride a lot, so we went more slow and short-distance.
Food and wine was awesome too.

Great but grueling bicycle ride
Make sure you are well hydrated and have appropriate attire for a strenuous bike ride. Great views and great wine but didn't realize how hard the Tuscan hills would hurt me. Overall a great experience though
