It all starts at our brand-new Culinary School, where you'll dive into the magic of crafting pizza dough from scratch. But that's not all – get ready to explore the lively Capo Market, diving into Palermo's culinary heritage and savoring some delightful Sicilian tastes along the way!
Our culinary expedition commences at Towns of Italy Cooking School in Palermo. Upon arrival, guests will be warmly greeted by our expert chef, a maestro in Sicilian cuisine, who will show how to recreate the perfect Italian pizza dough. You will follow our Sicilian gastronomy maestro in this hands on session, where you mill mix water and flour and knead your dough.
The journey extends to the bustling mercato del capo, an essential part of Palermo's rich culinary legacy. During a guided exploration of this vibrant market, participants will interact with local vendors, immersing themselves in three intriguing tasting stops offering authentic Sicilian street food delicacies. Amidst stalls brimming with fresh produce and regional specialties, guests will delve into the market's colorful history, indulging in traditional treats and uncovering the secrets behind their creation.
Upon returning to the Cooking School, the culinary journey takes a hands-on turn. Guests will channel their newfound knowledge into crafting their personalized pizzas. With the guidance of our chef, they'll adorn their dough with traditional toppings, culminating in a delectable lunch infused with the genuine flavors of Sicily.
After baking and taking the pizza out of the oven, it’s time to relish the mouthwatering pizza, perfectly complemented by exceptional wine (soft drinks provided for children), participants will conclude the tour with a thoughtful takeaway: a detailed recipe book and a graduation certificate to commemorate their delightful culinary journey.
