Description

Enjoy the unique privilege of a private tour of Uffizi and Accademia, two of the world’s most striking museums. Offering an enlightening insider’s view of world-celebrated art and architecture, our signature private Uffizi and Accademia tour allows you and your family or group of friends, to get “behind” each painting, and “follow” the evolution of Italian art through the centuries, from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance.

The best of the “cradle of the Renaissance” with the privilege of a dedicated private guide all for yourselves! Discover the charming city which gave birth to thousands of artistic masterpieces, explore its evocative streets on foot and admire inspiring artistic masterpieces in two of the world’s most extraordinary museums.

Meet your charismatic private English-speaking guide and set off on a walking tour you will never forget. UNESCO World Heritage Site, romantic, surprising, enchanting and irresistible, Florence is where countless geniuses such as Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Brunelleschi and Donatello lived, thrived and created some of the world’s most important works of art.

A private guided tour allows you to enjoy an authentic insider’s view of the town center. Admire the main landmarks and major sights, such as the Duomo, Baptistry and Piazza della Signoria, amazing Orsanmichele  and Ponte Vecchio.

Then head to the Accademia Gallery, home to a masterpiece of Renaissance sculpture: Michelangelo’s David. Sculpted in marble by young Michelangelo the statue symbolized the defense of civil liberties embodied in the Republic of Florence, threatened by the hegemony of the Medici family. Time permitting, if you wish, enjoy admiring Michelangelo’s famous unfinished statues - the Prisoners, St. Matthew and the Pietà - and other artwork on display.

Your exclusive private tour will then take you to Italy’s most important museum – the enchanting Uffizi Gallery. Led by your specialized dedicated private guide you will have the chance to admire the collection’s most remarkable pieces. Learn all about the great artists that turned Florence into the capital of the Renaissance, and see the pictures and sculptures come to life. Discover Giotto’s revolutionary art, admire the beauty of Botticelli’s Primavera, and marvel at Leonardo’s mix of rational genius and artistic creativity! Take an enjoyable break during the tour savoring cappuccino or coffee and outstanding views at the lovely museum rooftop cafè.

Finally crown your day following your guide in an enchanting outdoor walk to see the Vasari Corridor from below. This fascinating passageway was built by Giorgio Vasari in 1564, with the aim to build a path that would allow Cosimo I and the Medici family to walk safely from their residence (Palazzo Pitti) to the government palace (Palazzo della Signoria, other side of the Arno river).

Including an enlightening private walking tour of historic Florence, priority access Uffizi and Accademia tickets and a highly knowledgeable friendly guide, our signature highlights tour is a memory you will cherish forever.
