Description

Step off the beaten tourist track, spend a memorable day exploring two of Tuscany’s most charming, and less-renowned, gems: delightful Arezzo and Cortona. Meet your dedicated English-speaking driver at your hotel and set off for a journey through Tuscany, to reach your first stop, charming Arezzo. Once among the strongest and richest Etruscan towns today Arezzo is a lovely city with a remarkable legacy: its exquisite traditional crafts, passed down throughout the centuries, are still produced, and many using ancient techniques! Meet your private guide and enjoy a memorable guided visit through the exquisite center, noting the most charming details and seeing the marvelous landmarks. The Arezzo cathedral dominates the city, and the main square is where the famous Jousting Contest is held in June and September. After the visit travel on to Cortona, one of the most ancient and fascinating cities in Tuscany. Boasting over 2000 years of eventful and exciting history make Cortona a captivating town to discover!  Meet your dedicated private guide and savor the pleasure of uncovering the town’s past, legends and stories. Built above a Medici era fortress, Cortona comprises steep streets which unravel up and down the hill. Paved with huge stones these offer an evocative once-upon-a-time feel, and from the city walls, you can admire one of the most beautiful views in Italy.
