Description

Eye-catching and welcoming the Amalfi Coast is a heart-pleasing festival of flavor. Plus, the friendly locals simply love sharing… join the party and take a bite of the best! Explore the Amalfi Coast using your senses with the privilege of traveling by private transportation throughout the whole day. Embark on an entertaining "Food Quest", meet the local producers and learn about the area’s signature products. On the way relish the views: here mountains dive into the sea creating a dramatic vertical scene of dizzying cliffs crowned by verdant gardens, sweet-scented citrus fruit orchards and exquisite pastel-hued villages. Stop at a local family-owned organic lemon farm and limoncello factory and discover the unique characteristics and flavor of the award-winning “sfusato amalfitano”, the celebrated Amalfi lemon. Large, juicy and intensely scented this is an essential ingredient of the area’s gastronomy: its juice, peel and even the leaves are used in the local cuisine! Visit the farm and limoncello factory, taste luscious home-made lemon cake, tangy fresh lemonade and sublime refreshing limoncello. Then set off to visit an extraordinary local winery nestled on the cliffside between Positano and Amalfi. Comprising a series of small vineyard plots cultivated vertically right on the cliff, and an astounding underground wine cellar dug into the dolomitic-limestone rock the winery is simply amazing. Explore the fascinating cellar, learn about the wines and admire the sturdy French oak barriques where they age. Crown your day with a typical lunch based on traditional cuisine, served with a selection of the finest estate wines, in the charming premises of the neighboring restaurant. A wonderful crescendo end to a picture-perfect day!
